These terms govern your use of the JumpStart Fed website. Engagements for JumpStart Fed services are governed by a separate written agreement; where the two differ, the engagement agreement controls for those services.

What this site is

This website describes JumpStart Fed, a readiness program for federal cybersecurity compliance. The content is general information about the program and the rules that drive it. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for reading your own contracts and clauses or consulting your own counsel.

About certification

JumpStart prepares organizations for assessment. Certification decisions are made by independent third-party assessment organizations (C3PAOs), not by JumpStart. Nothing on this site is a promise, guarantee, or prediction of any certification outcome, and no statement here should be read as one.

Accuracy of regulatory information

Federal cybersecurity requirements, dates, and figures change. We work to keep descriptions of CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, DFARS clauses, and related programs current, but the authoritative sources are the Federal Register, the Department of Defense, and your own contracts. Where they differ from this site, they win.

Use of the site

  • You may browse, link to, and quote this site with attribution.
  • You may not misrepresent the site's content, scrape it for spam purposes, or attempt to interfere with its operation.
  • Do not submit Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) or other sensitive material through this website.

Site analytics

The JumpStart Fed name, site content, and program materials described here belong to JumpStart Fed. Framework names such as CMMC, NIST, ISO, and DFARS belong to their respective owners, and their use here is descriptive.
